The Top 5 Massage Therapy Schools in Malaysia That Can Teach You to Press the Right Pressure Points!
One of my friends once decided to “learn massage from the internet” and confidently offered to fix everyone’s sore shoulders while we were having coffee.
Five minutes in, we weren’t sure if she was helping or accidentally discovering new pressure points that shouldn’t exist.
That little experiment made it clear there’s a big difference between guessing and actually knowing what you’re doing. Proper training can turn random pressing into a skill that genuinely helps people relax and recover.
So we started looking into massage therapy schools in Malaysia that teach the right techniques from the ground up. Keep reading to learn more about these places where you can learn to apply the right pressure—for the right reasons!
How much does enrolling in a massage school in Malaysia cost?
In Malaysia, enrolling in a massage school typically costs between RM500 and RM1,000 for basic short courses. The comprehensive professional diploma programs generally range from RM5,000 to RM15,000.
1. Wellness Art Training Centre

Address: 2nd Floor, 3.01, Wisma Central, 147, Jln Ampang
Phone: +60123737376
Business Hours:
- Monday to Sunday – Open 24 hours
We decided to include Wellness Ar Training Centre because of its medical-led foundation, which isn’t something commonly seen in massage schools in Malaysia.
Being run by a qualified physiotherapist adds a layer of credibility that goes beyond basic technique training. Diving deeper into their program, we learned that their courses are structured to balance theory and hands-on practice.
Programmes like Full Body Massage, Foot Reflexology, and Sports Massage are taught with clear breakdowns of body mechanics, not just routines. There are also more specialised tracks, such as lymphatic drainage and pre- and post-natal care.
Moreover, they also mentioned improvements in their technique and stamina, with some of them confidently performing longer sessions after completing the course. These students are also exposed to real-world settings through corporate massage events.
They even offer online classes, making it easier to learn remotely. According to the students we spoke with, they loved how detailed and supportive their trainers are.
One drawback is the slow response of this school, especially through email. Still, the depth of training and instructor expertise make the wait feel worthwhile.
Felt more comfortable using massage techniques
“I’m a physiotherapist by profession and was actually looking for a massage course to improve my manual therapy skills. That’s when I stumbled on Wellness Art Training. I reached out to them and they got back to me literally the next day. Talk about quick customer service! I ended up taking up their Swedish and Thai massage as the foundation course and I’m so glad I did because it gave me techniques and steps I can use in my own practice. And on top of that I just feel so much more confident and comfortable using massage techniques in my sessions. Saba was my teacher and she is sooooo friendly and encouraging. Even up till my exam day she was encouraging me that I’ll do well. I really don’t regret coming for this and I’ll be going back to learn sports massage next as well :)”

They made training worthwhile
“As a massage lover for years, I wanted to learn the art for better appreciation for the works and learning the different massages and techniques with Jesamine at Wellness Art has definitely made it worthwhile! She really takes the time to explain, guide, and correct my techniques and postures to better protect myself too when I provide massages. Thank you very much, Jes! 😊🙏🏻”

2. Tim Bodycare Massage Academy

Address: Ground Floor Unit 3, Menara PKNS, 17, Jalan Yong Shook Lin, Pjs 7, 46050 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Phone: +60133986868
Business Hours:
- Monday to Sunday – 10 AM to 7 PM
Tim Bodycare Massage Academy stood out to us for how long it has been shaping the local wellness scene. That kind of experience shows in how their programmes are executed.
Established back in 2003, they’ve clearly built a system that feels structured yet practical.
From what we gathered, their course lineup covers essential foundations like Full Body Massage and Foot Reflexology. They also offer more specialised options such as Sports Injury and Bio-Electric Massage.
Their training focuses on hands-on application, with skilled instructors guiding technique, pressure, and body assessment in real time.
Students benefit a lot from their exposure to SKM certification pathways, which is an edge for those planning to go professional.
Class schedules are flexible enough to fit around work commitments, too. By the way, they don’t offer online classes, so it doesn’t suit those looking for remote learning options. To counter this, they provide e-books to help bridge that gap slightly.
And unfortunately, when you want to check out their facilities, they don’t accept walk-ins. You’re strongly advised to book an appointment.
Outstanding coaching and guidance
“Professional massage training academy and I achieved high mark for my SKM Level 3. Thanks a lot Mr Tim and especially Teacher Brandy for coaching and guidance to let me become a better masage therapist. And I’m so glad you have met many people from all the countries.”

3. HTT International Beauty College

Phone: +60361511373
Business Hours:
- Monday to Saturday – 9 AM to 6 PM
HTT International Beauty College made it onto our list because of how wide their programme scope is. It’s not just massage training, but a full ecosystem of beauty and wellness education under one roof.
During our inquiry, we observed that their massage-related modules sit alongside courses in facial treatments, aromatherapy, and even Gua Sha therapy—great for those planning to diversify their skills.
Their training comes with a balance of theory and practical sessions, covering SOPs, hygiene, and client handling. Students also get access to tools and equipment during lessons, which removes a common barrier for beginners.
On top of that, diploma pathways and SKM programmes are available, giving learners a clearer route toward certification. There’s also a noticeable focus on career support, with some feedback mentioning job placements after completion.
That said, the enrolment process can feel quite demanding, as there are multiple requirements, such as academic results and a school completion certificate, to fulfil before getting started.
Teachers know how to adjust
“Very experienced in teaching and attentive! Teachers will adjust the teaching methods according to personal learning process. I enjoyed the class so much! So many theories involved! They trained us not only the practical skills, but also the technical knowledges. This is what exactly I need for my next career”

4. Pusat Urut Terapi Dan Refleksologi Oku Shah Alam

Address: 76A, Jalan Renang 13/26, Tadisma Business Park, 40100 Shah Alam, Selangor
Phone: +60176959957
Business Hours:
- Monday to Thursday, Saturday to Sunday – 10 AM to 9:30 PM
- Friday – 10 AM to 10 PM
Pusat Urut Terapi Dan Refleksologi OKU Shah Alam caught our attention because of how different their learning philosophy feels compared to other massage schools.
They accept visually impaired students who have a deeper reliance on touch, which translates into highly refined pressure techniques.
What stood out during our visit was how training here centres on real sensory development. Instead of leaning heavily on theory, students are guided to understand muscle tension, pressure points, and body responses through hands-on practice.
The students we spoke with were impressed by how quickly their mentors identified pain areas. This precision allows their mentors to adjust massage techniques with precision.
For the school environment, it was calm and welcoming, with approachable staff creating a comfortable space for both learning and regular massage treatments.
The only catch is that they don’t accept walk-ins for campus tours or assessments, so scheduling ahead is very important. Even so, many shared that the results and affordable pricing make extra explaining worthwhile.
Incredibly professional and attentive staff

5. St. Nicholas’ Home Penang

Phone: +6042290800
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Saturday – 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
What we appreciated most about St. Nicholas’ Home Penang is the purpose behind their training. It goes beyond skills and into creating real opportunities through structured, certified programmes.
Their massage training centre has been running since 2002, and it shows in how organised everything feels.
The curriculum covers key areas like full body oil massage, foot and hand techniques, as well as neck and shoulder work, giving students a well-rounded foundation.
What’s even more impressive is how training is aligned with SKM certification and even includes SLDN pathways.
Based on what we’ve seen, sessions are hands-on and guided by experienced trainers with years of practical exposure.
It’s not surprising, given that most of their clients highlighted effective techniques and obvious relief after their massage sessions with the students. It only means a reliable and high-quality training.
Just a heads up: The programme is specifically designed for visually impaired trainees, so not everyone can get in exactly. All in all, the meaningful mission behind it makes this centre stand out!
Great massage guru
“Their wellness centre having great massage guru with up to 9years experiences. I had one and half hour of full body massage in their 2nd floor private room . I am so relief and glad that I had made the right choice, their package only cost me rm70 averagely. Had my breakfast and lunch here too, and their cookies in jar is soooo tasty… The technicians have good massage techniques, there is breakfast and lunch here, and they also sell second-hand clothes and jewelry, and the handmade cookies are also delicious, all at affordable prices. Great.”
