I volunteer for a non-profit organization during my free time, and one of our projects involved co-creating a series of short animated videos to promote awareness about our cause.
As a creative myself, I was deeply interested in the production process of the videos, plus it’s something I care about. I wanted it to be good and informative.
So, I asked my team for help in assessing the best animation studios in Malaysia that are both imaginative and technically excellent. We came up with this list of our top picks based on those we reviewed.

How much does it cost to hire an animation studio in Malaysia?
A commissioned animation work can cost around RM1500–RM6000 per minute. This number could even go up depending on a myriad of factors.
Factors that affect the price include the length of the video, the style and complexity of the animation, the overall quality level of the finished product, the agreed-upon number of revisions, your chosen service provider, turnaround time, etc.
To get a better idea of the cost of the service, it’s best to email the studios you want to work with and ask them for a discovery call so they can give you a quotation. As a tip, it’s best to already have a project brief on hand with your specifications for the work. The company has been in operation for over 26 years, building experience and a loyal clientele that spans 14 countries. They mostly work with companies in real estate and construction, so that’s something to note.
We do appreciate their depth and range of experience working on diverse project briefs and working with a wide range of people. This is apparent in the wealth of their suggestions and ideas during brainstorming sessions. They know their stuff.
Their animation portfolio is also top-notch, with a clean and no-nonsense style. However, we believe their style works better for corporate videos than for cartoon-style videos.
After checking them out, what we liked is how intentional they are with their clients. They’re warm and don’t rush discovery calls, but are straight to the point and efficient. They manage deadlines well and are very proactive about the project.
