Special Children Home was established in 2017 by Mohd Yahya Haidrus. His commitment to helping children with physical disabilities knows no bounds, as he’s a wheelchair user himself.
Previously, he spent 27 years helping children at a Saleng centre. His decades of personal devotion translate into deeply attentive care for children facing cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and autism.
The centre is exceptionally equipped, including an adaptable Snoezelen multi-sensory room that adjusts lights, sounds, and textures to calm or stimulate each child.
Children can take part in regular physiotherapy, practising gross-motor movements through ball pits and balance beams.
Beyond therapy, the place teaches self-management and vocational skills to help young residents gain genuine independence.
But keep in mind that this is exclusively for youths aged four to 18, so they can’t support older adults.

Early Autism Project Malaysia brought Wisconsin Early Autism Project clinical methods to local families in 2006. Their intensive Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) therapy builds foundational language and cognitive skills with remarkable structure.
At their Bangsar centre, therapists undergo intensive training and receive fortnightly oversight. This strict approach ensures consistent quality during every session.
It’s impressive that nearly half of their students catch up to their developmental age. Plus, 62% prepare for or enter mainstream schooling, including international schools.
They’re flexible too, offering half-time and full-time one-on-one therapy programmes. Plus, they provide supervision-only hours available in-person and online.
The main hurdle here involves upfront costs. You need to prepare RM250 for initial screenings and another RM500 for diagnostic evaluations before starting.
Strong progress with ABA therapy
My child started one-on-one ABA sessions in October last year. In just four and a half months, he progressed from using single words to speaking in sentences of at least three to five words. He went from avoiding eye contact to naturally looking at us, and his ability to express himself has become much more confident. My child only began the EAP ABA program at nearly five years old. Growth in speech and engagement
My son faleeq had a very good experience here. His progress for this 6 months programme was very excellent we both parents are very impressive as he improve alot in term of words that he can pronounce, eye contacts , engagements even his emotional part also become more better. HI 5 SEN Care Centre is an accessible place for individuals with various special needs. They accommodate ADHD, autism, selective mutism, and challenging behaviours, amongst others.
Their programmes support learners from age two to 20, covering both school-readiness and practical life-skills training. Approximately 60% of their students impressively transition successfully into mainstream education.
Their early intervention programme is worth noting. It allows families to begin with a trial class without navigating lengthy interview forms or upfront screenings.
Across their Balakong facility, children explore 11 dedicated classrooms, occupational therapy spaces, and an engaging sensory gym. With all these facilities, kids can build real-world skills during pre-vocational training.
However, trial slots are restricted to just three weekly openings, so we recommend contacting them early.

After joining Hi 5 SEN, my 8years old son showed great improvement in his reading and communication skills. He is now able to read storybooks and speak much better. Successful return to mainstream school

Hatching Center was founded on an integrated approach created by Dr. Eric Lim and Dr. Toni Linder. They focus on play-based methods to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and motor abilities.
This approach also combines speech, occupational, and educational therapy under one roof. This way, children from toddlerhood through young adulthood can learn and build their strengths through flexible and holistic methods.
It’s worth mentioning that families facing tighter budgets can apply for fee subsidies to help offset therapy costs.
Distance is also manageable, thanks to their remote intervention options, three locations (Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Kelantan), and several partner centres in Selangor.
The catch is, their vocational programmes only accept enrolment up to 17 years old, which means they can’t accept students aged 20.

My son been in Hatching for 3 years when he is at 3, the passionate of experienced teachers guide him to improve his motive skills, sensory issues, and ot as well. We want to note that they provide caregivers with parental counselling to help manage emotional fatigue.
Just note that their early intervention programme only accepts children up to age seven, so older kids must explore other places.

We came from Pakistan for osteopathy in Malaysia. Our Osteopath recommended us for Occupational Therapy, in growing sprouts. Here we met with Ms Priyanka who really helped our daughter in developing and achieving her milestones with various techniques. She developed her oromotor skills. She is quite helpful. Noticeable progress through EIP
