How much does hiring a professional organizer cost in Malaysia?

In Malaysia, hiring a professional organizer typically costs around RM100 as a deposit, with overall rates varying depending on the project’s size and the organizer’s experience. Some freelance organizers may charge hourly rates, so it’s best to inquire directly about package deals and services that fit your needs.

1. Yvonne Kong – Reimagine & Spark Joy

Working with Yvonne Kong from Reimagine & Sparks Joy was an experience many previous clients can’t stop talking about. First off, we heard that Yvonne is a certified KonMari Consultant (yes, Marie Kondo certified!).

We loved that she offers a free 30-minute consultation, where she listens and gives practical advice right then and there.

Furthermore, she offers Starter and Advanced Tidy Packages (three hours and ten hours, respectively), and we totally get why the longer sessions are the most popular.

This process is all about tidying by category, and she walks you through clothes, books, papers, and that dreaded “komono” (miscellaneous stuff) with so much patience!

Yvonne’s “spark joy” mantra sounds cheesy until you see how it helps you rethink what you keep and what you let go. Another thing we appreciated is how upfront she is with pricing and packages and how she adapts her plans for both in-person and virtual sessions.

But fair warning: Yvonne’s so in demand that her schedule is seriously tight (booking a few months in advance is needed).

Pros

  • Certified KonMari Consultant
  • Free 30-minute consultation
  • Variety of packages
  • Personalized, non-judgmental approach
  • Clear and upfront pricing
  • In-person and virtual sessions available
  • Focus on mindfulness

Cons

  • High demand; limited availability

Family-friendly organization solutions

“Yvonne was incredibly helpful in helping me de-clutter and organize my kitchen. As we just re-located to Malaysia I just couldn’t get my head around how to organize kitchen cabinets. With Yvonne’s help it took us 3 hours to work out a system that’s functional, neat and just makes sense for the whole family. Not to forget all the hacks I’ve learned. Super happy with my experience and totally recommend it.”

“What an experience! The sessions I had with Yvonne was peeling away all the ‘burden’ one by one. It was such a relieve to know that everything is doable and possible to achieve. It continues to be my way of life. It has brought so much joy in my heart. Thank you so much Yvonne”

Xin Yi, founder of Spacemaker, hasn’t actually been on the scene that long—she kicked things off in 2023, but this fresh energy really is something we noticed immediately.

Clients raved about her knack for tailoring solutions, whether they just wanted a single cluttered room tackled or a full house transformation.

Plus, she is really versatile—handling everything from move-in setups and home unpacking to guiding seniors through decluttering sessions with a lot of patience!

We also like that Xin Yi is pretty solid at sorting out corporate spaces and even retail processes. If it takes a couple of days to get a space just right, that’s what’s happening—no cutting corners.

Her pricing is customized to your space and situation, so there’s real transparency upfront, but you’ll want to factor in extra fees if you need her to haul away trash.

Pros

  • Flexible, tailored service packages
  • Specializes in home, corporate, and warehouse organizing
  • Patient and collaborative approach
  • Offers move-in setups
  • Transparent, customized pricing

Cons

  • Relatively new in the industry
  • Trash removal requires an extra fee

Dedicated organizer

“very dedicated and respectful team. Reasonable rate and system they implemented are still in tact to this day. My parents were very pleased with the outcome.”

– Izzati Bahri, Google Review

Expert support for challenging organizing

“I thought of doing decluterring and organizing for more than a decade but not successful with my family members not cooperative. I hired SpaceMaker 5 times for my house to manage the stairs closet, pantry, kitchen, store and guest room. At least my mom will listen to an expert stranger than me. Lol. Every session with them I thought to myself, “not sure if they can handle the mountains of stuffs that is blocking the way” but they always surprised me. They are patient with the family members when sorting through stuffs.  It has been a year since my service with them and their system works. Not 💯 as the same but it is still manageable. Thanks SpaceMaker.”

We’ve come across a lot of organizers, but Rebecca Jo-Rushdy’s Spark Joy & Flow stands out for going beyond the usual “sort your stuff” service. She’s not just tidying physical clutter—Rebecca digs deep into helping you tackle emotional and even legacy clutter, too!

She’s a legit Master KonMari® Consultant (yep, another one from the Marie Kondo world!) and an end-of-life doula, which honestly brings in a whole different level of sensitivity and, well, humanity to her sessions.

We reached out to her previous clients, and they highlighted how Rebecca’s sessions feel super collaborative—she listens, lets you have a say, and is patient.

We love that she works with pretty much everyone: individuals, families, and offices, and even runs workshops and offers meditations you can tap into online.

On the flip side, while Rebecca can travel to Kuala Lumpur, most face-to-face sessions involve a big travel fee since she’s based in Edinburgh. With this, her virtual sessions are the go-to.

Pros

  • Deeply personalized
  • Collaborative approach
  • Master KonMari® Consultant
  • Supports emotional as well as practical organizing
  • Offers both virtual and in-person sessions
  • Highly praised for sensitivity and patience

Cons

  • Higher cost for in-person (travel fee included)
  • Not ideal for urgent organizing needs

Transformative approach

“Rebecca is a caring, compassionate and professional declutterer that equipped me with methods for keeping my home a sanctuary. She taught me that KonMari goes beyond tidying, but a reflection of one’s headspace and ultimately how we choose to live. Rebecca is truly able to “spark joy” in everything she touches. Gift yourself or others this service – it is one that can keep giving.”

– Tania Tsang, Google Review

Infuses depth into every session

“I absolutely loved working with Rebecca! She sprinkles joy wherever she goes and makes the process of tidying such a deep and wonderful experience.”

4. Raveena Singh – Raveena at Home

Address: Serves Kuala Lumpur

Raveena at Home genuinely surprised us with how all-in they are when it comes to professional organizing. Raveena Singh herself, who runs the show, is a Certified Professional Home Organizer & Declutterer (and Psychologist!).

She’s also grown her reach to serve clients in multiple countries, both virtually and in-person, so you know her methods aren’t just for show. One detail we noticed is how every session has a dedicated project manager and a small crew.

While Raveena (and her team) works directly with you, others quietly get to work cleaning and prepping. The whole experience feels collaborative, not pushy, and they provide literally everything needed—boxes, baskets, all of it!

The value-adds are worth mentioning too—an in-house interior designer, on-call handymen, and help with donations or recycling, so you’re not tempted to “reclutter”. Her Home Management Planner is also a huge bonus for folks who need ongoing structure.

However, there’s no clarity on their operating hours, and their Google reviews are pretty sparse, so getting current word-of-mouth can be tricky.

Pros

  • Multi-certified professional
  • Experienced team approach
  • Comprehensive services
  • Personalized consultations
  • Supplies and storage materials included
  • Assistance with donations and recycling
  • International and virtual organizing options

Cons

  • Limited public feedback
  • Unspecified operating hours
