1. Nirvana 2

Address: 16, Jalan Dewan Bahasa, Bukit Seputeh
Phone: +60 3 9212 2888
Business Hours:
- Monday to Sunday – 9:30 AM to 6:15 PM
Nirvana Center Kuala Lumpur, also known as Nirvana 2, is in a class of its own when it comes to funeral and memorial services.
From the street, it just looks pretty low-key, but the moment you step into the main hall, it’s got this calming vibe and thoughtful design that makes the whole experience feel a lot less clinical.
We were genuinely relieved to see that parking’s sorted, with a two-storey basement, although we have to admit the ramp’s a bit of a squeeze—so, if you drive an SUV, brace yourself!
Nirvana 2 does pretty much everything in-house. Whether it’s wakes, funerals for different faiths, or even pet memorials, they handle it all.
Their 24-hour emergency response also stood out, with staff genuinely committed to helping at any hour.
We love that they’ve also built in touches like refreshment services and even a convenience store and lounge, though we noticed long wait times for food.
Convenient all-in-one service with ample parking
“One stop shop. Lots of parking. Helpful service, clean premises. Give the departed a honorable and well regarded sesd off. Follow the map properly to reach here though!”

Compassionate staff and outstanding catering
“Service here is fast and efficient. Staff is very caring and compassionate as well. And the food… the catering here is excellent. The food was prepared with great care and tasted excellent, providing comfort during a difficult time. As much as I love the food here, I hope I don’t come back here anytime soon…”

2. Fu En Casket Service

Address: 38, Jalan Mawar, Taman P Ramlee
Phone: +60 1 0800 2222
Business Hours:
- Open 24 hours
Fu En Casket Service has built up quite the track record with over two decades in the funeral industry, and it shows. They don’t just handle standard funeral arrangements—they’ve actually become the go-to for families with all kinds of religious backgrounds.
Whether it’s for Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, Catholic, Hindu, SGM, or Yi Guan Dao rites, they can handle it. And if you need to sort out cross-border arrangements, this is one of those rare funeral homes in KL with actual international connections.
It’s because they regularly work with embassies and government agencies for repatriations! We have to say, that’s a pretty cool perk for anyone with family overseas.
Furthermore, the facility itself has a practical, unpretentious vibe that doesn’t feel cold or intimidating, and the staff handles requests without making it awkward.
Families we spoke to had good things to say, especially about how the team goes out of their way—even down to fetching food and drinks and helping guests get what they need.
The only downside is that their prices aren’t shown online, so there’s a bit of legwork if you want a quote.
Attentive and compassionate support
“We are very impressed by their experiences and top excellent service rendered to our needs.
The undertaker & the team were so diligent & helpful.
They are kind, polite & friendly.
We are very delighted and appreciated for their help from hospital till the oustation funeral.
Tqvm to Managing Director & the head of the team Mr. Derek Lee.
May God bless you abundantly.”

Outstanding care and efficiency
“Thank you Suzanne for the service beyond call of obligation and commercial. Your kindness, warmness and efficiency were like balm to the open wounds of losing my loved one recently, to Covid. First, it was a Covid case and then the request to carry the ashes overseas. Urn was well sealed by the officer that I had no issues with the customs at departure and on arrival. Again, thank you Suzanne.”

3. M I Casket (Malaysian Indian Casket) Funeral Service KL & Selangor

Address: 2, Jalan Pahang Barat, Pekeliling
Phone: +60 1 2333 3327
Business Hours:
- Open 24 hours
M.I. Casket, also known as Malaysian Indian Casket, definitely stands out for more than just longevity (they’ve been at it since 1989). They cover a huge variety of needs, whether you’re after a Hindu, Christian, Ceylonese, or Buddhist service, or even handling a delicate Covid-19 or HIV-related case.
We noted that personalization is at the heart of what they do: families can request a custom-made casket, opt for high-end funeral cars, or tap into their legal and admin support.
Another plus is their worldwide repatriation, which makes things way easier for cross-border arrangements. This was highlighted by more than one family we spoke with.
Their staff—certified and supportive—are on standby 24/7, and the feedback we got consistently praised how quickly and smoothly they handle even the sudden, early-morning calls.
Sadly, for Christian funerals, the package doesn’t include the funeral mass (the family has to arrange that). Add to that, small essentials like the canopy tend to be add-ons rather than bundled.
Exceptionally caring and accommodating service
“Highly recommend. They are very very helpful and too experienced. With one phone call, the humble aunty arranged everything for my late grandmother. She kept checking up on the status even at 3am, 6am and so. We wanted less rituals and do whats needed only as that was my grandmothers wish to have a simple last goodbye. Their pricing is very reasonable. I feel i underpaid as they did everything and we were tension free. Highly recommended.”

Clear communication and thoughtful support
“My family and I are very satisfied with the services of MI Casket which has an extremely reliable team led by Mr Avinesh. Affordable package and full service which was a comfort for my family in a very difficult time. From the first phone call to plan, cremation and post-cremation ceremony, everything was communicated clearly and the family’s wishes were respected. Keep up the good work, MI Casket.”

4. Xiao En Centre

Address: 1, Jalan Kuari, Cheras
Phone: +60 3 9145 3888
Business Hours:
- Monday to Sunday – 7 AM to 10 PM
Xiao En Centre changed the way we think about funeral services. For starters, the place is this big, multi-functional space that covers everything from memorial halls to seminar rooms, an exhibition center, right down to its theater and auditorium.
They do services for all sorts of faiths (Buddhism and Christianity are their main focus, but they’ll tweak things for other beliefs too). All the boring backend stuff—paperwork, permits, embalming, flower setups—is covered, too!
One thing we kept hearing is how the staff genuinely look after people. Rather than just checking boxes, they’re pretty flexible and even help display outside food really nicely.
We also think the kuih and bottomless coffee/tea on the refreshment table are a surprisingly nice perk. The packages are straightforward (no mysterious fees), and their facilities are practical, like covered seating with fans or umbrellas, plus tents if needed.
However, we noticed that the halls are a bit close together—if two wakes are happening, you’ll hear some noise drift through.
Comfortable facility and great service
“Very comfortable bereavement center. Service was excellent. Parking could be challenging / limited. Short walk to crematorium”

“Thank you to Xiao En team, especially Charles and Elgene. The team is very professional and would guide us step by step in what to do. They are very accommodating and prompt in solving problems as well. The environment is clean and comfortable. A big thank you to the whole team, for making my mom’s farewell a great one.”
