Opening hours: Monday to Sunday: 10 AM – 10 PM

Website

Johor Premium Outlets is known for brand-name shopping with discounted prices, and it’s one of the most established malls in Malaysia. There are over 150 stores spread out across a spacious, open-air layout.

You’ll see brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Nike, Coach, and Levi’s, with pretty solid discounts most of the time—some better than others depending on when you go.

And it’s usually busiest on weekends or public holidays, so if you want to avoid the crowds, weekdays or earlier in the day are better. There’s also a food court and a few cafes if you need a break, but it’s mostly about the shopping.

How Much Time to Spend at Johor Premium Outlets

You’ll want to spend around 3 to 4 hours at Johor Premium Outlets. That’s usually enough time to walk through the place, check out a few stores, and maybe sit down for a quick bite.

If you’re popping in to browse or pick up something specific, you could be done in an hour. But if you’re there with friends or feel like doing the full loop, it’s easy to stretch it a bit longer.

To make it a full day, you can stop by Gunung Pulai for a nature walk or visit one of the local food spots nearby. LEGOLAND and Johor Bahru City Centre aren’t too far either if you don’t mind a bit of driving.

How to Get to Johor Premium Outlets

By Driving

Driving is probably the most convenient way to get to Johor Premium Outlets. It’s located right off the North-South Expressway (Exit 253 Kulaijaya), about 30 minutes from Johor Bahru and around 3.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur.

By Shuttle Service

Some local hotels and tour operators in Johor Bahru offer shuttle services to Johor Premium Outlets, especially on weekends. These are usually pre-booked in advance, so check with your hotel or travel desk.

These shuttles usually drop off and pick up at the main entrance of the outlet.

By Public Transport

From Johor Bahru, you can catch the Causeway Link bus (JPO1) from JB Sentral directly to Johor Premium Outlets. It’s a budget-friendly option and takes about 45 minutes, depending on traffic.

You can also take a KTM train to Kulai or Senai station, then grab a short taxi or ride-share from there to the outlet. Grab is widely available in the area and often the most convenient way to get around if you’re not driving.

What to Expect in Johor Premium Outlets

Facilities and Services

You’ll find clean public restrooms, plenty of shaded seating areas, and wide, stroller-friendly walkways throughout the outlet.

For families and visitors with mobility needs, stroller and wheelchair rentals are available at the Information Centre near the main entrance. There are also prayer rooms (surau) on-site for Muslim visitors.

Shopping Amenities

The outlet provides multilingual size conversion charts in many stores, which is helpful if you’re shopping from international brands. Some shops also have personal shopping assistance or fitting rooms.

If you need to store bags, there are self-service lockers available in a few spots around the complex. Free Wi-Fi is available, though it may vary in strength depending on where you are in the mall.

Financial Services

There are a few ATMs spread out across the mall, including banks like Maybank and CIMB. You’ll also find a currency exchange counter near the main building, handy for foreign visitors.

Credit and debit are accepted at most stores, but it’s always good to have a bit of cash for smaller kiosks or food stalls just outside the main area. And note that tax refunds for tourists (GST/VAT) can be processed at participating stores.

Information and Support

There’s an Information Desk near the central plaza where you can ask for maps, lost and found help, or general questions. Staff there speak English, Malay, and sometimes Mandarin.

If you’re travelling with kids, there are baby-changing stations and a small kids’ play area near the food court section.

Practical Tips for Visiting Johor Premium Outlets

Here are things you should keep in mind when visiting Johor Premium Outlets:

Join the VIP club or use the app – Sign up for the JPO app or website for VIP deals, members-only promos, or special seasonal coupons. Discounts can go up to 25-30% extra on top of outlet prices.

Exchange cash – Most shops accept cards, but having some cash on hand helps with food court meals, vending machines, or small promo stalls.

Prepare for walking – Since it’s mostly open-air, bring sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle. Wear comfy walking shoes, too.

Check for authenticity – If you’re shopping for luxury labels, use the COA or ask staff about the item’s provenance.

Use lockers or stroller rentals – If you’re coming with kids or doing a big shop, locker rentals and stroller services near the info counter can make your day easier. They’re usually near the centre court area.
