Everything You Need to Know about the Petronas Twin Towers

The Petronas Twin Towers are, without a doubt, the crown jewels of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline. These sleek giants soar 452 meters into the sky, and they’re still the world’s tallest twin towers since they opened back in 1998.

Designed by Argentinian architect César Pelli, their sparkling facade of steel and glass feels straight out of a sci-fi movie, and walking up to them in person is another level. They pack 88 floors, and even their elevators feel kind of futuristic.

The towers are connected by a skybridge that sits at levels 41 and 42, offering one of the best city views you’ll ever find. Inside, you’ll find shops, restaurants, and even Malaysia’s Philharmonic Orchestra hall!

To give you some context, KLCC is the city’s pulse—it’s got everything from parks like the KLCC Park to upscale malls like Suria KLCC, all right next to the towers.

How to Get to Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Twin Towers

Closest subway stop: The closest train station is KLCC Station on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line—just hop off there, and boom, you’re practically at the towers.

Closest bus stop: Alternatively, if you’re coming from another part of the city, you can take a bus that stops near Suria KLCC, the mall connected to the towers.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also go old-school and grab a taxi or a ride-share service like Grab. KL traffic can get a little wild, though, so plan ahead!
